“Don’t ever neglect any symptom of a heart attack or treat it as one of gas or acidity,” Dr. Sreenivas Kumar advices both doctors and patients. “Any discomfort from the umbilicus to the jaw associated with sweating or vomiting are symptoms of an MI, which even ECG cannot detect in the early stages. These symptoms must be treated as ACS, (acute coronary syndrome) unless proven otherwise.”
