Dyslipidemia has gone in to the forefront and we talk about statin therapy in maximum risk, but when we talk of statins a lot of risk remains. The residual risk remains and in Indian population this residual risk is because of non HDL cholesterol. And this non HDL cholesterol comprises chiefly of triglycerides and in order to manage triglycerides now we have an Indian molecule Saroglitazar which is now widely accepted all over the world as an agent which could be safely combined with statins without producing side effects and we need to use this product more and more especially in the Indian Context that we want to introduce non HDL cholesterol cheaply try this like. After management of LDL cholesterol with statins, you have to take care of triglyceride, if they are more than 200 mg%. Because they comprise residual risk and for the management of high triglycerides now you have an Indian molecule saroglitazar which has a double action. It takes care of the high triglycerides on one hand and it takes care of management of life on the other hand. So if you have a diabetes with hypertriglyceridemia this is the molecule which is going to be useful, especially in the Indian population and this is a molecule that we need to look up to and use it more and more. In the Indian population, besides LDL about 40% of patients will have high triglycerides and then need to be managed and the management is with fibrates or with the new Indian molecule saroglitazar. Saroglitazar is important because it has a dual action. It takes care of triglycerides on one hand and hyperglycemia on the other hand and in the Indian population with diabetes incidence is high, I think this is the molecule which is going to be to be of help end of use in the future
